The December 2022 release notes for the CFLdb family of sites highlights the improvements, changes and additions made for the last month of 2022. Read on for details.

Along with other cosmetic, data, performance, administrative, or infrastructure related bug fixes and enhancements (49 commits this month).
Special acknowledgement to contributor Mark this month as well as an anonymous contributor which provided over 2000 participation and biographical details on individuals to the database.
A number of issues were detected with data and code which resulted in incorrect information being displayed on the site, some issues present for a decade. No reports of these errors were made to CFLdb, however the scope of the issues mean they were likely seen. Corrections have been made, but there can be no guarantee there are not more errors that have been undetected.
We apologize to anyone who experienced the incorrect, incomplete and misleading information, whether recognized by them or not. We continue to stress CFLdb be considered an unofficial source and untrusted data and viewed and used only by those who can live with those conditions or have the time to validate the information with other sources (all information would have been able to be validated through other sources, including sources on the Internet). Any other usage is at the individual’s own peril.
A major contribution was processed in December, which slowed some the of the previous planned work, but we did complete the expansion of the Grey Cup Championship page with additional lists on awards, player and coach appearances and wins. The new contribution along with these enhancements exposed some inaccuracies in the database, highlighting a need for a review of Grey Cup participation. This data review and infrastructure work will be the focus to start the new year. We do encourage anyone who recognizes issue with the data to report those issues to us.
Please report any issues you come across in the data on the site or in its display. If you have concerns over the absence of data or how it is displayed, please let CFLdb know. Thank you for taking the time to make the site better by adding information and sources, eliminating errors and correcting misleading information.
