Announcing CFLdb Promotions

I am pleased to announce CFLdb Promotions, a place where CFLdb will offer giveaways and rewards of CFL materials to interested parties.

For the first promotion, as mentioned earlier this year, I have up to 3 copies of Home Again: Canadian Football 1995–2014 by Frank Cosentino available to give away. The promotion runs from today, March 1st, to June 30th, 2015. Register early for more chances to win. See the Promotions page for full details.

I hope the new formalized system of registration will lead to greater success with giveaways. In the past, I had limited to no success with trying to give things away. Success for me is more entries indicated a wider reach and interest, while participants would like to keep the entry count down to increase their chances. I will continue to use graduated giveaways to encourage more entries and word-of-mouth.

Privacy

Privacy is an important concern when sharing personal information on the Internet. That is why I made registering require only the minimum amount of information possible — an email address or Twitter handle. I promise to never use for purposes other than the promotion or share your contact information. Unsuccessful participants will have their information deleted after promotion close. In addition, contact submission is done over a secure connection. Soon all CFLdb sites will use (and require) a secure connection on all pages. See the registration page for full privacy and terms and conditions.

Feedback

If you would like to make reasonable suggestions for CFL related giveaway items, provide donations or sponsorship, or share ideas, please contact me. I don’t know how much interest there is in books vs ebooks, old items vs new, etc. and I would like to gauge the interests of CFLdb visitors for future promotions.
