Presently, there is no indication when the game may be rescheduled, but examining the medical requirements, BMO Field availability, and scheduling impacts to the Argos who are innocent in this situation and should not have to endure additional hardship, the League must have the Elks forfeit rather than try to shoehorn in a game later in the season.
This weekend appears to be out because of medical and travel logistics. Monday/Tuesday may be a possibility if stadium and travel can be arranged (and things don’t escalate). While unfortunate, a forfeit allows the Elks to get healthy and does not compound the issues with a game this week, an additional game in between other games later in the season nor further postponing the end of the season. The Argos already have 2 games in Week 10 with a five day turnaround (the only team to have such).
