When the team focused on alliterative choices, Elks was the only place they could end up. It will take some time, but people will get used to it; after a generation the old name will just be part of the history, in two generations it will be but a footnote.
While the unveiling focus was to associate the Elks with the club’s history, there was nothing that tried to link Elks to the city or attributes of the football team.
