The most interesting item in this report is the information provided on the new Grey Cup revenue sharing agreement. From a $7.1 million profit for the 2019 Grey Cup, the host Eskimos took home $3 million, leaving $4.1 million to be distributed to the remaining 8 teams ($512K/each). As a non-host over the next five years, the Eskimos estimate they will receive $600-800K per year in Grey Cup distributions.

Hinted to after the 100th Grey Cup, the new design maintains the silhouette but adds functionality to allow the annual plaques to be removed. Starting in 2020, the addition of a new plaque will result in the removal of another, starting with the first, 1909’s. This seems logical, but also wrong. Starting at a middle point is too much work, so the next year will be the last to see the 1909 plaque.
