I was waiting for a more formal announcement, but nothing came; even the demise didn’t warrant more than a day’s coverage.
Remember all the questions about what the plan was to deal with the AAF and the risk to the CFL, and how the answers were chastised for ignoring the issue? There were a few reports once the league launched confirming any risk may have been overblown, but generally being in the media means never having to admit you were wrong. You can bet next time reporters won’t find out ticket numbers or other financial details before claiming the CFL is doomed because the league can’t compete for players at those salaries.
