A feared pass rusher from all over the field, Parker helped redefine the rush position (of the top 10 career sack leaders, where Parker is #4, all are Parker’s peers or followed him). For a giant involved in an evolutionary leap in the CFL, Parker got the short shrift in the coverage of his passing. He accomplished much on the field in a twelve year career, and was likeable off the field. His addition of a feather to his helmet for over half the 1986 season before being banned by the league provided some buzz, recognition and atmosphere to the league. My condolences to the Parker family; he will be missed.
