Top 16 of 2016 Rebroadcast on TSN2

In a nice lead-up to the season, watch for the top 16 games of 2016 rebroadcast on TSN2, culminating with the 2016 Grey Cup on June 21st, to usher us to the 2017 kickoff of Saskatchewan at Montreal on June 22nd and the Grey Cup rematch of Calgary at Ottawa on June 23rd.

With four pre-season broadcasts, there are 20 games to watch starting May 25th before the season debuts. The games are set, but debate over which games were included and which weren’t and their ordering can continue.

Eskimos Still Post Profit Despite 2016 Challenges

Despite dropping attendance, a recessed Alberta economy and crossover road playoff games, the Eskimos still posted a $1.47 million profit while investing heavily in football and capital projects, which bodes well for what a well run CFL franchise can do in an average season.

Bring It In

Extending the What We’re Made Of campaign, the CFL launched their Bring It In promotions this weekend aimed at women and younger fans.

I’ve observed a strong younger, independent female presence on social media from Ottawa and Montreal for a few years, but that certainly is a fan base that needs growing in all centres. Of course, you always have to keep attracting new fans at a young age.
