Joseph left on a high note (traded after a Grey Cup victory), while Durant leaves a team missing the playoffs two seasons in a row, but otherwise very similar situations. The reasons for both trades being the same (management restriction on what they will pay a QB), there seems to be more initial acceptance and less shock this time around than in 2008. Perhaps that history has many forecasting it will work out alright.
