Rather than let it die, a solution to evolve the Canadian Football Hall of Fame into something different will allow it to continue in some form.

Options like moving to Ottawa, where it could be another hall and museum destination for tourists in the capital, sound good but operating halls and museums are expensive, and the costs of a football one needs to be born by the football community, which means the CFL and sponsorship/revenue generated by the Hall of Fame. What appears to be a downsized and fragmented approach will be more accessible and visible to fans, especially if virtual exhibits and tours are introduced.

Update: Unanimously passed by council July 6th.
