It will be interesting to see if this year’s schedule is better or worse than last year in terms of traditional home games every other week for teams. Lots of factors affecting many teams, but somebody has to play at home.

Ah, yes, the annual fix the boring game knee jerk reactions with no real thought. Let’s make judgements with no facts or statistics to back them up, base them on short term observations rather than long term trends, ignore factors that deserve investigation into the correlation and propose or drool over changes that are unrelated to the problem discussed.

No real reason to have them in the same year, let alone weeks apart. Scheduling for 2016 seems like the logical thing to do.

Makes perfect sense for the CFL to embrace being part of Canada’s 150th birthday in Ottawa. Ottawa wants it, so if they bring the guarantee to the league, I can’t see it not being awarded there for 2017, and sooner rather than later.

John Tory, as Toronto’s mayor, can help this process with this statement of support but more so behind the scenes in the search for the additional $10 million, whether it can be taken from future Grey Cup revenue or fronted by other private enterprise.

$10 million is $5 from 2 million proud CFL fans, unnoticeable to anyone in their life earnings. Something to think about.
