A very truthful and honest reflection by Alondra Johnson, now in Gardena, California about his preparation for life after football and the consequences of pursuing his football dream. Every prospective CFL player should read this article and hear about other experiences of players in Canada.

That is not saying they should not come to Canada to play football. For everyone who comes north to play and doesn’t prepare, doesn’t understand it will end, there is someone who does, who is teased as being frugal, but walks away from the game with a plan and is successful for it. These are the same lessons many people outside of football need to learn as well, about saving, preparing for the future and untimely events.
