Duane Forde hits the nail on the head in this article. The routine has been to acquire talented players and not adjust systems to fit their talents. This is the quick fix solution rather than developing young talent. No matter what talent you have at a position, you can always use more (if only to keep them away from your rivals). And as we speak, the beat goes on.

The key appears to be getting $15 million from federal government, who recently refused providing funding to upgrade the football stadium at Laval University for potential CFL football use.

I figured there would be at least one game moved off the main TSN feed this year. Hopefully future schedules can avoid these conflicts.

Besides the new location at the University of Manitoba, Asper ups his contribution to $100 million while requiring only $35 million from the federal and provincial governments combined. I don’t expect any commitment or promise from any party during the election, so Winnipeg may have to wait to see if the third time is the charm.

I can’t argue with firing Charlie, no matter how good a guy and coach he is, but will Marcel Bellefeuille be the boost to the locker room the team needs?

It would help if fans didn’t have to get the explanation four days later, but the television commentators were actually able to find and explain the rule in question during the broadcast.
