Clemons or Argo Owners Responsible?

Published on September 30, 2008 9:01 PM

While Brunt lays the fateful decisions at Michael Clemons’ feet, most comments seem to point the finger at Argo owners David Cynamon and Howard Sokoloski. I, too, feel their influence on the off-season quarterback acquisition.

Barrenechea Fine Illicits Different Reactions

Winnipeg is, of course, upset, while Edmonton is smiling. The CFL really needs a new disciplinary agreement with the CFLPA.

Mismatched Players and Systems

Published on September 17, 2008 9:20 PM

Duane Forde hits the nail on the head in this article. The routine has been to acquire talented players and not adjust systems to fit their talents. Sept. 21 Edmonton at Montreal Game Moved to TSN2

Asper Pitches Another Stadium Plan

Published on September 13, 2008 9:03 PM

Besides the new location at the University of Manitoba, Asper ups his contribution to $100 million while requiring only $35 million from the federal and provincial governments combined. I don’t expect any commitment or promise from any party during the election, so Winnipeg may have to wait to see if the third time is the charm.

Ti-Cats, Bombers Swap Moreno for Canada

Winnipeg needed to get a linebacker after Joe Lobendahn was injured Sunday and I think Hamilton is just trying to find any way to shake things up. But just wait, not so fast...

Hamilton Fires Charlie Taaffe

Published on September 8, 2008 7:22 PM

I can’t argue with firing Charlie, no matter how good a guy and coach he is, but will Marcel Bellefeuille be the boost to the locker room the team needs?

CFL Explains Friday’s Offside Pass Ruling

Published on September 2, 2008 7:04 PM

It would help if fans didn’t have to get the explanation four days later, but the television commentators were actually able to find and explain the rule in question during the broadcast.

Lions, Bombers Swap Smith, Roberts

Seems like a shake-up move in Winnipeg and a ditch a superfluous player move in B.C.
