The February 2023 release notes for the CFLdb family of sites highlights the improvements, changes and additions made in the last month. Read on for details.

The following changes have been made to CFLdb Statistics since the last report:

• Data: Performed a number of updates from contributions with supporting sources (Thanks Dennis!):
  • Added attendance for 125 games.
  • Corrected the score for 1929 game, adding attendance, game time and stadium.
  • Added one missing 1946 exhibition game with details and line score. (Finding a missing game is quite the accomplishment.)
  • Added two people (coaches).
  • Added two coaching terms (1945, 1946 non-Canadian team seasons).
  • Added/confirmed one jersey number for a 1994 player season.
  • Corrected score/added line score for one game.
• Data: Added jersey numbers for 58 player seasons across two teams in 1951 (Thanks Mark!)
• Data: Updated over 300 person records with additional information and corrections. Many of these were draft picks, allowing us to correct many draft pick names up to 1970 in the last two months. (Thanks to anonymous contributor!)
• Data: Additional updates (over 800 updates, additions and deletions this month).
• Enhancement: Expanded the Contributor Tools decades to include decades prior to 1950 for finding games and people with missing information. From 1950 onward, the missing information is becoming pretty sparse, but 1900-1940 there are plenty of easy pickings.
• Bug: Fixed Grey Cup on Demand link incorrectly showing on non-Grey Cup games.

Along with other cosmetic, data, performance, administrative, or infrastructure related bug fixes and enhancements (15 commits this month).

Roadmap

Infrastructure work is complete and our attention will return to expanding data and features on the site.
