The April 2022 release notes for the CFLdb family of sites provides information on the data and site changes and improvements made in the past month. Read on for details.

The following changes have been made to CFLdb since the last report:

• Update: Regenerated new versions of 2022 printable PDF and iCal schedules with league announced schedule updates and pre-season broadcasters.
• Enhancement: Refactored and improved search.

The following changes have been made to CFLdb Statistics since the last report:

• Data: Added missing game times for 528 games from 1945–1960. A number of corrections were also made as the result of this donation. (Thanks GUD/Bill!).
• Data: Added game boxscore scoring summaries for the 2002 season (over 1500 data points).
• Data: Added game boxscore team stats for the 2002 regular season and playoffs (over 1200 data points).
• Data: Added game boxscore individual stats for the 2002 season (over 1800 data points).
• Data: Added game boxscore scoring summaries for the 2003 season (over 1500 data points).
• Data: Added game boxscore team stats for the 2003 regular season and playoffs (over 1200 data points).
• Data: Added game boxscore individual stats for the 2003 regular season and playoffs (over 2000 data points).
• Data: Corrected, filled in missing data and updated game boxscore scoring summaries for the 2004 season (over 500 data points).
• Data: Additional updates (over 100 additional updates, additions and deletions this month).
• Enhancement: Improved game boxscore scoring summary accuracy and presentation.
• Enhancement: Improved detection of missing/bad game boxscore team and individual stats, and replace with appropriate informational message when not available.
• Enhancement: Refactored and improved search.
• Bug: Fix blank bullet appearing in some search results with a draft year in results.
• Bug: Fix appearance of input controls on Set Timezone, Contributor Tools and Winning/Losing Streak pages.
• Bug: Fix logic on full schedule pages for repeating dates; show icon placeholders with tooltip for games with missing times.

Along with other cosmetic, data, performance, administrative, or infrastructure related bug fixes and enhancements (18 commits this month).

Special acknowledgement to contributor Gridiron Uniform Database/Bill Schaefer this month.

Contributors

The Gridiron Uniform Database launched their CFL section this month with the 1945–1960 seasons and graciously contributed to CFLdb the game time data for all games in this period. They have indicated that as they add additional games, future contributions will be made. Check out their site as they continue to add CFL game uniform information periodically.

Roadmap

Experimentation has started to attempt to solve two of the biggest issues visitors find with the site: CFL history segregated by league, and site navigation or information find-ability. We hope the next update sees progress in this area.
