The April 2021 release notes for the CFLdb family of sites lists the data improvements, enhancements and fixes made in the past month to improve the site experience for all. Read on for details.

The following changes have been made to CFLdb Statistics since the last report:

• Data: Added biographical information, primarily high school, for over 900 players. These contributions resulted in the correction of two player names, duplication of persons and draft picks. (Thanks Mark!).
• Data: Added 2021 CFL Global Draft picks.
• Data: Added 1996 Player of the Game awards for all 1996 regular season games.
• Data: Related updates (over 1,700 updates, additions and deletions this month).
• Enhancement: Show Grey Cup on Demand links for additional (all available) years.
• Enhancement: Hide season schedule tab for team if no games present in database for season.
• Enhancement: Added Grey Cup quarter scoring records (combined and single team) to Grey Cup page.
• Enhancement: Added Grey Cup attendance summary tab, showing overall total/average, and same by stadium and city.
• Enhancement: Added player links to Grey Cup roster lists.
• Enhancement: Added player links to Draft selection lists.
• Enhancement: Added Player of the Game (Offence and Defence) to Game pages and Person pages (only available for 1996 season; see above).
• Enhancement: Improve search results by indicating when game listed is a Grey Cup.
• Enhancement: Team season Roster position summary weight averages are now more complete, added average height.
• Enhancement: Added school closed indicator in Grad Program popover from Person page.
• Enhancement: Performance improvements made on team season Roster pages.
• Bug: Fix persons with no amateur football program (that is, persons which are known to have no junior or college football participation) appearing in Contributor Tools lists of persons with missing football programs.
• Bug: Fix team schedule active tab when no regular season.

Along with other cosmetic, data, performance, administrative, or infrastructure related bug fixes and enhancements (48 commits this month).

Special acknowledgement to major contributor Mark this month. Mark has completed his run through of all players, contributing biographical details and corrections.

Roadmap

Infrastructure work was completed this month. Work will shift to the schema and moving it towards the final goal next month. As always, other enhancements will be grown, evolved and expanded.
