The April 2020 release notes for the CFLdb family of sites provides an update on the improvements made in the past month. Read on for details.

The following changes have been made to CFLdb Statistics since the last report:

• Data: Added Canadian Football Hall of Fame members (Players, Builders, Reporters).
• Data: Added/corrected BCRFU teams, seasons and games for 1926-1940 seasons including the addition of two stadiums (Thanks Chris!).
• Data: Added 2020 CFL Amateur Draft picks and Territorial Selections.
• Data: Added biographical info for three players, added/corrected jersey number information for two players and added six assistant coach seasons for Bob Gibson, Jr. (Thanks Mark!).
• Data: Updated biographical information for individuals and added some 1970’s assistant coach seasons (over 1200 updates, additions and deletions this month).
• Enhancement: Added League All-Time Record pages.
• Enhancement: Added Honours tab to player pages to display Hall of Fame and other honours (pending addition).
• Enhancement: Redesigned home page to provide better navigation based on differing needs of visitors.
• Enhancement: Improved Not Found (404) page with better suggestions.
• Bug: Fixed empty coach record on person detail pages.
• Bug: Fixed maps on Stadium Detail pages.
• Bug: Removed playoff tab showing on Standings pages when no playoff games played.
• Bug: Disabled navigation links when no previous/next page on team season attendance and search results pages.
• Bug: Fixed season menu display when single season in group.

Along with numerous other cosmetic, data, performance, administrative, or infrastructure related bug fixes and enhancements (65 commits this month).

Roadmap

The next priority will be the continued refactoring of team pages. A balance of data additions and site improvements/enhancements are planned for May.

Send all contributions, corrections and suggestions to me via methods found on the Contact page. All contributions are credited, with more prominent credit for the largest statistics contributors on the CFLdb Statistics contributor page. The contributor list will, therefore, reflect the true owners of the site, those that research, compile and contribute data and corrections.
