March 2016 saw a number of display enhancements along with the addition of additional roster information and new search capabilities on the CFLdb Statistics site. Read on for more details.

Since the last report, the following fixes and enhancements have been made:

• numerous suppressions of sections and links when no data
• fix to handle ambiguous time causing issues with timezone detection during daylight savings switch
• automation revamp and improvements
• show percentage of capacity as Unknown when stadium capacity is unknown
• redirect to search page for search term when arrive from search engine at search result page that does not exist and make search result pages non-indexable
• show jersey and player classification on team roster and player participation pages from 2005 to 2009
• make draft picks searchable, linking to draft page
• make football grad programs searchable, linking to draft page by player (Note: this is only enabled for draftees [amateur draft, territorial protections, supplemental draft] that have football grad program)
• provide notice to visitors arriving at draft home page from search engine that drafter player search is available
• miscellaneous cosmetic and wording changes
• miscellaneous backend changes

For the jersey number and player classification data added, jersey numbers are filled from pre-training camp rosters published in the annual CFL Facts, Figures and Records publications. Anyone who wishes to contribute to the completion of this data can submit record of rosters from a game program, newspaper or other source (electronic copies please). Players can wear multiple jersey numbers in a season, so submissions of multiple games can provide additional players and changed jerseys. Player classification data is complete, however data entry or other errors may have been made. Please submit any corrections via the contact page. I have not reviewed the new seasons or done a basic audit of the aggregate values to check for errors.

Expansion of roster jersey and classification information will continue as time permits. Bug fixes and display improvements will continue as discovered. Major backend work and new features are being developed but no timetable is in place as to when they will be delivered.
