I did not see a video tribute to the members of the Canadian football fraternity that passed away in the past year on the TSN Grey Cup coverage this weekend, so I present this list of compiled names in memoriam of athletes who had lives and family beyond football, some lived fully, some cut short.
In alphabetical order by surname, all are former players unless otherwise noted. Years of birth/death along with teams played for or associated with are noted. I’ve included all I’m aware of since the last tribute, plus any I’ve discovered from 2014 that were missed last year.
