100th Grey Cup Train Tour
Published on August 29, 2012 5:25 PM
You have to find the time to visit this train (pictures) when it stops in your city or town (more than 100 stops in all). A once in 100 years event to soak up some history and be a part of Canadian culture. Don’t miss it, it gets underway in Vancouver Sept. 9th.

Conservancy Denied Again

I have to say this is over. Whether soon enough to prevent further delays to the team’s return is to be seen. If they are ready to put shovels in the ground on the stadium, I could see it being ready by 2014, though the whole site may not be. Will that be good enough?

Help a Canadian's Medical/Financial Crisis
Published on August 22, 2012 8:40 PM
This has nothing to do with football, but if you are so inclined, donate what you can. $38,000 raised so far. Micro-donations from many can go a long way and have no impact on us what-so-ever.
If you don’t care to help or can’t, that is fine. But scolding won’t bring her out of the coma or bring her home. Faced with our own crisis some day, from big to small, would we rather receive a scolding or a helping hand?

Harrison Visiting Mount Slesse Crash Site
Published on August 1, 2012 5:33 PM
I was unaware Harrison was related to one of the victims and involved in TSN’s documentary on the subject. It is a Canadian tragedy with 62 victims and this will raise awareness of the crash for many.
Update: Here’s the story about the visit.
