Where Are They Now? Steve Sarkisian
Published on December 25, 2011 5:55 PM
A nice follow up on the career of Steve Sarkisian, a decade removed from the CFL and the Saskatchewan Roughriders, now head coach of the University of Washington Huskies. There are a lot of nice angles covered in this story. You can see the outcome in Thursday night’s Alamo Bowl.

Argos Practice Facility Destroyed by Fire
Published on December 24, 2011 10:47 AM
Thankfully, no one was hurt. Conflicting details on the timing of the blaze and sketchy details on anything else.
I would think this would have some affect on the coaching staff’s preparation for 2012. One thing is for certain, a permanent location for the Argos offices, training and practice facility will be accelerated, whether that is at Erindale or elsewhere.

Now the fireworks should start. We thought 2012 could be quiet on the stadium front. I feel we will be linking to many Regina stadium articles in the next year.

Calvillo Given Key to Montreal
Published on December 18, 2011 10:41 AM
A very nice honour for a transplanted Angeleno who has married and settled in Montreal and set career records over eighteen years and counting. Maybe there is no need for the number one in the market or go home attitude.

Ray to Argos
Published on December 12, 2011 6:24 PM
Ray is a QB who will fit into coach Scott Milanovich’s offence (quick release, ball control à la Anthony Calvillo), but I’m surprised the move is met with so much positive press over an experienced QB (they need to surround Ray with receivers to get the ball to, otherwise he will be on his back). He may increase the Argos chances on the field, but I’ve never found him to be that exciting to watch (blame it on his high percentage but low reward style of game). I’ve underestimated the Toronto media for just wanting a winner and unconcerned about the excitement on the field.
