Is it an enviable position for the commissioner to have to temper the excitement Touchdown Atlantic brings to the Maritimes about a permanent professional franchise? I think there are many across the country that think there isn’t a Atlantic CFL franchise for a single reason — because the league has refused to grant one.

CFL Announces Pink Week

Though I haven’t checked the reaction to this, I predict there are some using the opportunity to be negative to the league’s announcement because of last year’s league decision. I think this shows what is possible when players don’t provide just a week notice of interest in a cause. CFL Pink Oct. 21-22 will provide ample more opportunity to raise funds league wide than individuals trying to raise awareness alone.
