Rallying Ottawa Around the Rough Riders

Missed this article from about a month ago, very similar to my own argument from last year. The fact that Rough Rider opponents have no belief in compromise and co-existence reflects the sad state of our society. Everything isn't about "winning". Driving home from work isn't a race and the need to always be one up on someone reflects deeper self-esteem issues. I'm susceptible to this myself.
If the Rough Riders isn't possible, others are proposing alternative names. Seriously, though, what about the '76'ers or '98'ers?
