Regina Dome Stadium Best Option
Published on July 21, 2009 8:35 AM by dbo.
The government commissioned study on the stadium options for the Saskatchewan Roughriders has recommended a dome stadium to replace the current outdoor Mosaic Stadium. The province has now commissioned a $1 million feasibility study on building a covered stadium.
The recommendation is not unexpected since the premier and mayor have expressed their belief in a domed stadium. The study report makes a good case for the more expensive indoor stadium, however, at this level, no detail around costs, partners, location and other components is given. The next report will have to provide this detail to not be considered a whitewash.
