Lions to be Punted from BC Place

Playing even some games in a temporary facility would certainly not help the Lions keep existing ticket holders happy and attract new ones. Though nothing is certain, it appears the Empire Stadium site is a serious option.

And get more facts from the owners. The real fats will never be known since as a private business they have no obligation to disclose any information. It appears there are no outstanding loans and Sokolowski and Cynamon will never enter into a loan arrangement with any other owner again, even disclosed to the league.
Sure, it needs to be taken seriously, but it is hardly a crisis facing our country.

Lansdowne Granted Negotiation Extension

Ottawa City Council has granted city staff and the Lansdowne Live! group an additional 60 days to negotiate the details of the Lansdowne Park stadium plan. This extends the original 60 day period which will now end on August 26. Previous misreports had a 30-day extension ending in August.

There are two types of people: one whom this story shows the players as regular people and more identifiable and another who thinks it would demean him to watch an athlete that held another job. Yet athletes from many leagues work to maximize their incomes during the off-season through restaurants and other ventures.

'Riders Post Profit of $1.6 Million

Details to be released in June due to a new fiscal year for the club. Saskatchewan did well increasing their surplus to close to $10 million though expenses outgrew revenues for the year.

Where else but the CFL can kids still have experiences like this? The contest may be over but this league wide single ticket promotion deserves credit as an excellent national campaign.

Getting caught up with some old links I haven't posted.
Lonie Glieberman makes an interesting comment about the differences in rent in Ottawa and Shreveport. I thoroughly believe the conditional Ottawa owners can restore football in Ottawa and leave in the past owners with their hearts in the right place but minds somewhere else.
