CFLdb Redesign

Published on April 12, 2015 6:03 PM by dbo.

If you are reading this, you are seeing the new CFLdb site design launched today.

Long overdue, the new design is more mobile and tablet friendly, addressing the shift in devices accessing the site since its launch in 2008. The new design launches on CFLdb today, with CFLdb Razzle Dazzle and CFLdb Statistics to follow, with the goal for both to be complete before the 2015 season starts. Though I have tested across common browsers and platforms, the new design won’t be without problems. I am hoping visitors will report issues using the site on any device so they may be rectified in order that CFLdb may provide a great browsing experience for all visitors. This is not my job, I am not an expert front-end web developer and the time commitments on design work takes away from other improvements I can make to the site so I am grateful for anyone who takes their time to report an issue or offer assistance.

I would like to thank CFLdb’s designer who evolved the CFLdb logo to sharpen up the site. His input and expertise was also relied upon in creating the site design.

Update April 19th, 2015: CFLdb Razzle Dazzle is now updated with the new design.

Update May 2nd, 2015: CFLdb Statistics is now updated with the new design.

Known Issues

The following issues are known and I am working on fixing them as soon as possible:

  • The message window does not remember being closed and appears on each page load.
  • The rulebook search pagination can show more pages than there are results. Using the page links may take you to a page that says no results found for search. This is a pre-existing issue that was present before the site design, but discovered in site design testing. This does not affect site search.
