We'll Have Some of That Cake, Unless Someone Else Wants it Too

Rob Vanstone recently called for a coaches salary cap in the CFL to provide a level playing field for all teams. He seemed concerned with players taking pay cuts while coaches were paid the going rate.
I don’t debate the merits of such a system here. I am curious as to why this occurs to Vanstone now, when a little over a month ago he was encouraging the Saskatachewan Roughriders to use their “riches” to hand a blank cheque to Kent Austin. It is hard to take a flip-flopper seriously when what they believe obviously depends on the benefit to them.
You want some cake? Now no one can have any.
